"What a shock to return home from a 3-month overseas trip and find that mold had taken over the interior of my car, despite having parked in the garage with windows up during the Texas winter. There must've been some water in there somewhere, as I do remember it raining a lot prior to leaving. My car's dashboard, steering wheel, seat belts, floor mats, center console, and seats were totally covered with gray, orangy-whitish, nasty, fuzzy mold. I thought my car was a "goner" for sure.
